Counterfeit Money

On August 18, 2017 at approximately 1900 hours, a male attended a business in the 1200 block of London Road and attempted to make a purchase using suspected counterfeit, paper Canadian one hundred dollar notes.

The nervous acting male had several of these suspected counterfeit one hundred dollar notes with him.  The alert cashier refused to accept the suspicious bills and the male quickly left the store once he had been denied his purchase.

Upon exiting the store, the male got into the passenger side of an awaiting truck and the vehicle exited the parking area.

The male inside the store was described as late twenties, 5’10”, thin build, wearing blue jeans and a light coloured, spiderman, t-shirt, a camouflage ball hat and dark, shaggy hair.  He also had a short beard and mustache.

The truck was described as an older model Chev pick-up truck, painted flat black with a topper on the back of the same colour. The truck had some kind of rack on the topper.

Sarnia Police Service would like to identify and speak to males involved to resolve the reported incident.
