Make sure you use the privacy settings to protect your information and photos from prying eyes. Check this often as the settings change.

Do not put your work and social schedule on Facebook, finding your home address is easier than you think.

Give some thought to what photos and info you put on your page, keeping in mind that employers routinely check Facebook as part of their background investigations.

Don’t put photos of yourself looking straight ahead. These photos can be lifted out of Facebook along with your personal information, and presto: your identity has been stolen.

The Sarnia Police Service is currently looking for assistance from the public in identifying the person(s) responsible for damage done to 12 vehicles in the underground parking lot at 840 Trillium Park in Sarnia. The tires of all of the vehicles were flattened.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens for early 20’s, tall and thin. He was wearing a grey hoodie and dark jeans.

Sarnia Police Look for Suspect

The Sarnia Police Service is currently looking for assistance from the public in locating

Robin Alexander MANESS, age 32 for Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, after an

incident on South Vidal Street on January 26^th 2012. A stolen Red Cadillac SUV was used

to accelerate at police. MANESS is also wanted on several other criminal charges in

relation to the home invasion on Lakeshore Road in Sarnia on January 24^th 2012. MANESS

may still have access to a stolen 2003 Lincoln LS black in colour, which is still outstanding

from the Sarnia area.

MANESS as he is believed to be armed, and should be considered dangerous. If you

Prescription Drug Abuse

The abuse of Prescription Drugs in our community, and others around us continues. This remains a gigantic issue here in Sarnia Lambton, and is at the root of almost every property crime committed here.

Break Enter and Theft near Grand Bend

Lambton OPP is currently investigating a Break, Enter and Theft, which occurred during

the early morning hours of Saturday January 14, at a location south of Grand Bend.

The furnace was removed from the home as well several tools from the site. All of the

stolen goods were loaded into a black dual axle 2004 Miska 3 ton steel dump trailer which

was left at the site. Ontario plate B7131E was attached to the trailer at the time of theft.

Total value of the stolen items is estimated at approximately $22,000.00.

Attempted Theft of Airplane

The Sarnia Police Service is currently investigating the break in to an airplane hangar and the attempted theft of a plane, which occurred Saturday November 19, 2011 at an address on Confederation Line.

Entry to the hangar appears to have been made through a man door. The airplane, a red Vans two seater, was pushed out of the hangar and the suspect(s) attempted to start it. In all, there is several thousands of dollars damage to the airplane.

Raymond Homicide

December 28 of 2011 marked the 10^th Anniversary of the murder of then 22 year old Robert Raymond. He was stabbed in the parking lot of the Border Club, which was located at 494 N. Christina Street in Sarnia. A fight had broken out in the parking lot and when Raymond tried to intervene he was fatally stabbed.

Residential Break-Ins

The Sarnia Police Service is currently investigating three residential “break- ins” which were reported to Sarnia Police over this past weekend.

Sometime between Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, 2011 a Tecumseh Street residence was broken into. Once inside, the suspects removed a flat screen TV, an Xbox along with 20 games, 2 Sony stereo receivers, four Christmas presents and some cash. The stolen property is valued at over $1700.

Another break in occurred in the 800 block of Exmouth. Unknown person(s) removed a 28″ SnowTek snow blower from a locked shed on the property. Value of the snow blower is over $700.

And finally, a Wayne Avenue residence was the site of an attempted break in. Nothing was stolen, but damage to the garage door is estimated at $200.
