Vandalism on Howard Watson Trail

On Saturday, April 23, 2016, members of the Bluewater Trail Committee conducted a clean-up of the Horward Watson Trail. The attached photos show some of the mess created by inconsiderate people. One of the main areas of concern is the stretch of trail between London Road and Exmouth Street.

It is very unfortunate that such a small percentage of thoughtless people spoil such a beautiful trail that is being utilized by the many good citizens of Sarnia. It is especially frustrating to members of the Bluewater Trail Committee and staff of the Sarnia Parks and Recreation who continually clean the area and have to repair damaged benches, etc.

Anyone who witnesses any acts of vandalism or littering are please asked to contact one of the following: Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861 (extension 0) or Sarnia Parks and Recreation 519-332-0330 (extension 3201).

The Sarnia Police Service is committed to working with its partners in the community to ensure that our City is kept safe and beautiful for all its citizens.
