                                    Internet and Email Scams

We are all by now familiar with the idea that people will go to great lengths to try to

get our money….. or are we?

Lambton OPP recently responded to two separate reports of a scam described as the

“Hit Man Email” scam by the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre. This email appears to come

from a supposed hit man who is hired to assassinate the recipient. The recipient of the

 email is instructed that they must send money to prevent the assassination from

happening.

The police and Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers remind you that when you receive these

kinds of emails, or any of the “get rich quick” types of emails – do not respond to them

 – simply delete them.
