Lambton OPP is investigating a break, enter and theft which occurred sometime between

11:00 p.m. July 26 and 11:30 a.m. the following morning, to a residence onFirst Ave in the

Town of Petrolia. Culprit(s) made off with the homeowners purse which contained several

documents, gift cards and cash. There was also cash taken from the vehicles in the adjoining

garage.  

This incident is particularly troubling because the homeowners were home at the time of the 

crime.
