A! Security Crime of the Week

Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the tragic homicide of 22 year old Robert “BJ” Raymond.  “BJ” as he was fondly known as, died after spending an evening with his friends at The Border Club which was once located at 494 N. Christina Street in Sarnia.  The club was full of hundreds of young people that night, many home from school for the holidays.  Many of those attendees were from Sarnia, Lambton County and Michigan.

Numerous interviews were conducted by Sarnia Police with the patrons who were in attendance on that date.  As the bar was closing, a fight broke out in the back parking lot of the establishment.  “BJ” recognized that some of his friends were involved in the altercation.  He did what any good friend would do and attempted to intervene and assist his pals but was on the ground in minutes, suffering from a stab wound to his chest.  Efforts to revive him on scene were unsuccessful.  He was transported to hospital but eventually succumbed to the injury.  It was a fatal stab wound that punctured his heart.

“BJ” loved sports, especially hockey.  He lived in Sarnia and attended high school in Wallaceburg.  He is dearly missed by family and friends.  His family deserves some closure for his senseless death.   Do you have information on this homicide?  You can help police solve this murder.  Call Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-22-TIPS (8477) or, go on-line at www.p3tips.com.  You will remain anonymous, you will not have to testify in court and you could receive a cash reward for the information you provide.  Do the right thing and call Crime Stoppers today!
