On April 22, 2023 around 3 AM, Sarnia Fire along with Sarnia Police attended the area located behind the old SCITS High School in regards to a vehicle fire.

On arrival, they discovered as green coloured, 2018 Kia Sedona van completely engulfed in flames. This incident has been determined to be an arson as the van was deliberately set ablaze.

No emergency personnel were injured during this is occurrence but video surveillance in the area captured a possible suspect and that image is being analyzed for investigative purposes.
