A1 Security Crime of the Week

Sarnia Police are currently investigating a very serious incident that occurred on July 22 on Earlscourt Drive neat Exmouth Street in Sarnia. A violent home invasion took place around 2 AM and as a result, an 81 year old man received 100 stitches to lacerations on his hands and head. The injuries were sustained during an attack in his home by an unknown man wielding a knife.

 

Only small items were taken from the victim’s home. The victim and the offender are not known to each other and it is believed that this was not a targeted crime. Other residences in the neighbourhood may have been victims of theft or mischief by the same culprit. Sarnia Police have been canvassing the area attempting to speak to home owners. Do you have video cameras on your property in this area? Sarnia Police would be very much interested in viewing any footage on those cameras between the hours of midnight and 3 AM on July 22nd. Do you know anything about this brazen crime? Do you know the suspect or suspects involved? Take a look at the video that police have obtained. This person may have information on the incident. The person is not a suspect at this time, only a person of interest and police would like to talk to this individual.
