On August 4, 2023, at approximately 6:15 pm, a robbery occurred in Sherwood Village Park.  A female was walking her dog behind the Oaklea Court area when a male assaulted the woman by throwing her to the ground after lunging at her from behind. He attempted to take her purse. The assailant eventually fled the area on foot.

The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment and subsequently released the same night.

Sarnia Police are looking for anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area around that time.  Police have canvassed the area and are looking for evidence, specifically video surveillance footage from home owners and businesses in that vicinity.
