A1 Security Crime of the Week

The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police and the Sarnia Police Service are looking for any information members of the public may have regarding two separate and unrelated shooting incidents.

On August 21, 2023 at 7:30 a.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police along with Walpole Island Police Service and Chatham Kent Emergency Medical Service responded to the report of a shooting on Snye Road located on Walpole Island First Nation. One individual was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On August 28, 2023 just after midnight outside a residence in the 200 block of Napier Street in the city of Sarnia the victim in this incident exited his vehicle at which time he observed a masked suspect who brandished a firearm and began shooting. The victim was struck three times and managed to flee the scene and run to the Sarnia Police Service to report the shooting incident. The victim was initially transported to Bluewater Health and was then airlifted to London Health Science Centre for further treatment of serious injuries.

Police are actively investigating both of these serious incidents.
