A1 Security Crime of the Week

Lambton OPP, Sarnia Police and all other Lambton county police agencies continue to investigate deaths caused by fentanyl overdoses. This has become a very serious concern for everyone and it is all the result of fentanyl and other drugs being dealt within our communities.

Police always document the names and addresses linked to the trafficking of all lethal drugs. All deaths associated to drug overdoses are investigated thoroughly with the collection of evidence at the scene and from family members and associates of the deceased. Once the medical examiner determines that the death was the result of a fatal drug overdose, the investigation begins.

Street drugs are not always what they appear to be when purchased by drug users. The drug, being represented as fentanyl, is usually “cut” or mixed with other substances, making the normal dose much more lethal which can then lead to a deadly drug overdose.

Information on illegal drug activity regarding the distribution or selling of fentanyl or any other drugs is always wanted by Crime Stoppers. Have you lost a loved one or good friend to this activity? Contact Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go on-line at www.p3tips.com.
