The Sarnia Police Service would like the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in two separate thefts.
On February 4, 2024, the suspect entered a business located on Quinn Drive in the City of Sarnia. Once inside the store the suspect selected merchandise from the shelf and proceeded to the service desk where he presented a receipt to the cashier. He then received cash back for the shelf return and exited the store.
On February 9, 2024 the same suspect entered the same business where he once again selected several items from the shelf and proceeded to the service desk where he again completed an off the shelf return and received cash back on one of the items. He then attempted to return other items on his cart but was denied due to not having a receipt. The suspect then proceeded to leave the store, passing all points of sale and exiting the store without paying for the merchandise.
The suspect is described as male Caucasian, 50-60 years of age, glasses, wearing blue jeans, brown work boots and a toque on both occasions.
Photos of the suspect can be seen on the Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers website and Facebook page.
