The Sarnia Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying the person(s) responsible for a number of incidents involving theft and damage to property.
On December 6, 2024, a Bell employee reported a telephone pole had been cut down on the west side of Perch Creek in Sarnia, ON. The telephone pole appeared to have been cut with a chainsaw and the copper cable and fiber optic cable had been stolen off of it.
The damage was estimated at exceeding $15,000.
There have been numerous similar occurrences regarding theft of copper and fiber optic cable in Sarnia, ON.
