Sarnia Police are currently investigating a hit and run that happened Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 8:26pm. at the intersection of Talfourd Street and Queen Street.

 

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 8:26 pm, police were called to the intersection of Talfourd Street and Queen Street in response to a reported hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian.

A red or maroon SUV (possibly a Jeep Compass or Cherokee) was travelling westbound on Talfourd Street and turned left onto Queen Street, striking a male pedestrian in the crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle stopped and exited his car to look at the victim momentarily before getting back in the driver’s seat. The vehicle then reversed and sped away westbound on Talfourd Street.

 

The driver was described as wearing light brown boots, blue jeans, and a white ball hat.

The 54-year-old pedestrian was medically treated at the scene and transported to Bluewater Health for non-life-threatening injuries.
