On June 30, 2026, at 3:13pm, Sarnia Police Service officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Confederation Street in response to an assault with a weapon in progress.

Police received reports of an unknown male repeatedly striking another male with a golf club. The complainant advised the victim was on the ground attempting to shield himself from the blows and appeared to be bleeding from his arm. The suspect fled the area and was last seen travelling eastbound on Confederation Street.

The male suspect is described as wearing a red bandana and a red shirt.  The golf club used in the assault was not recovered.

The suspect was not known to the victim.
