Break In at Mitton St Shoppers Drug Mart
Sarnia Police & Crime Stoppers are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for breaking into the Shoppers Drug Mart on Mitton St south last Monday night. At about 1:00 am, (Tuesday morning) the suspect broke the front door window at Shoppers Drug Mart and ran into the store, jumped up on the cashier’s counter and grabbed two boxes containing electronic devices. He jumped back down and scurried back out the way he entered, jumped on his bike and rode off southbound into the night.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a dark hoodie with a white string, blue jeans, black gloves, black shoes with red on the outside and a dark ball cap.
There has been a pharmacy at this location, serving Mitton Village and beyond for over 40 years. We don’t need people like this guy causing damage and stealing goods from a store that has withstood the test of time in our increasingly popular Mitton Village. So many people are working so hard to showcase this vibrant community, and we have to endure the likes of thieves like this?
Check out the video on the Crime Stoppers Facebook page. You’ll see that it took less than a minute from the time the thief appears at the front of the store until he makes his getaway on his bicycle. The video doesn’t show the culprit’s face but it gives you a good look at his clothing and his methods… share the video on Facebook and let’s generate some civic pride – hopefully enough that someone will turn him in after he brags about his misdeeds.
