LOOKING FOR OWNER OF URN AND ASHES

On Saturday, September 11, 2021,around 10:30 AM,  Sarnia Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Confederation Street.  The business owner at this location found an unusual item on the property.  It was turned over to the police.

A local funeral home was contacted and with their help the item found was confirmed to be an urn containing the ashes of someone’s loved one.  A picture is attached, hoping that someone can identify it and it can be returned to the owner.  The urn is black with a multi coloured flower design on one side and trimmed in gold.  There is a Japanese symbol stamped in red on the bottom of the urn.

Where and how it was stolen remains a mystery at this time.

If you can help to identify the owner of this precious item, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go on line to report your tip at www.p3tips.com.  You will not have to identify yourself and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
