A1 Security Crime of the Week

On October 4th, 2021, unknown persons broke into a residence in the 2000 block of Lakeshore Road in Sarnia.  Once the culprits were inside, the thieves stole jewelry, Nintendo Switch with games, prescription medication, tools, foreign currency, several watches, gift cards and several gold collectable coins.  This break-in occurred sometime between 7 45 AM and 4 pm.  Items left behind are being processed for fingerprints.  See below for a photo of the coins.

Also on the same day, sometime between 1230 pm and 2:30 pm, someone broke into another home in the 1600 block of Lakeshore Road.  Stolen at this residence was jewelry, jewelry boxes, a purse, headphones, linens, including several pillows.  These crooks left muddy footprints behind.  There had been heavy rainfall on this day.

These incidents occurred during daylight hours.  Someone in the must have seen something.  Do you live in this general area?   Do you have video surveillance on your house?   If so, have a look at your cameras.  This area would be between Modeland Road and Telfer Side Road, covering both the south and north sides of Lakeshore Road.  It is an approximate area of 3 kilometers.  Did you see anyone on the Howard Watson Nature Trail that day?  Do you live on any of the side streets off of Lakeshore Road:  Hardick, Donalda, Lakeland, Clarendon, Forest, Pineridge Trail?   Give police a call if you have any further information that might be helpful in solving these crimes.

All of the stolen items have much sentimental value to the owners.  Do the right thing to help these victims get their property back.  Call Sarnia Police Service or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go on line at www.p2tips.com.  You could be eligible for a cash reward!
