Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers and local Police Services are advising area merchants to be aware of counterfeit bills surfacing in and around the city. Since November 2013 about 15 reports of counterfeit bills have been received. The most common bills are the older paper Canadian $100.00; however police have also investigated incidents with Canadian $5.00 and US $20.00 bills.
