On May 20, 2016, at approximately 3:00 a.m. Sarnia Police Service Patrol officers were dispatched to the Trillium Park area of the City of Sarnia in regards to a disturbance.
Upon arrival officers made contact with two males that were in the area. As the officers continued their investigation reasonable grounds were formed that one of the males present was in possession of a controlled substance.
When the officer attempted to arrest the suspect the suspect pulled away and began to run. The officer chased after the suspect and as they were running the suspect dropped a bag. Upon examination of the contents, a large quantity of methamphetamine was recovered along with a number of fentanyl patches and several grams of cocaine. The total street value of the drugs was estimated to be over $13,000.00. The suspect was able to evade capture and is at large.
The suspect, Tom SHADE, 33 years of age, of Brantford, is now wanted on an outstanding warrant for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Resisting a Police Officer.
