R.I.D.E. Program is Out There

Just when it seems like so many choices are being made for us… like wearing a mask, social distancing, restaurant restrictions etc, one choice remains constant… How to get home after consuming alcohol or drugs is always a choice that is up to you.

You may have already noticed that the Sarnia Police and Lambton OPP have started their R.I.D.E. Programs throughout Sarnia and Lambton County.

In an effort to keep Sarnia-Lambton roads safe from impaired drivers, Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers is proud to support these local R.I.D.E. Programs. The Program’s strategy is to take alcohol and drug-impaired drivers off the roads.

We urge citizens to always plan ahead by

  • having a designated driver,
  • staying overnight, or
  • taking a cab or public transportation

There is never an excuse for impaired driving!  Have a plan.  Failure to plan is just a plan to fail.

And if you see a suspected impaired driver, do us all a favour and call 9-1-1.  Report it.

You may be saving a life.
