Theft of Jewellery

Lambton OPP is currently investigating two unsolved “distraction” thefts from local jewellery stores. The first theft occurred at approximately 9:00 am on Saturday June 2nd at Bailey’s Jewellery Store in Petrolia. The second theft occurred at the Imperial Jewellery Store in Watford. In both cases, the lone male suspect distracted the clerk by asking for different items to view. From Bailey’s in Petrolia he stole a white gold bracelet having a value of $ 700 dollars. From the Imperial store in Watford he stole a heavy gold bracelet valued at $1,000 dollars.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, 5’ 10” to 6’ tall, medium build, unshaven with short dark hair, brown eyes with acne scarred or poor skin. A similar description fits the suspect in a theft from James O Poag Jewellers in Strathroy on May 29th as well.
